STEVE, TELL US ABOUT KHALEESI. SHE IS AN 11 YEAR OLD, KIND OF MIXED BREED DOG. SHE’S SETTLED INTO HER LIFE. SHE’S VERY CHILL, RELAXED. YOU CAN SEE RIGHT NOW SHE’S A LITTLE LIKE, THERE’S A CAMERA. SHE NEEDS A FAMILY THAT LIKES A HIGH, ENERGETIC, YOUNG DOG. THE GOOD NEWS IS SHE’S GOT BEAUTIFUL MARKINGS. SO PEOPLE THAT LIKE THE LARGER GRAYS WILL LOVE HER. BECAUSE THIS FACE IS EVERYTHING. SO AT MY CROSSFIT, SOME OF THE COACHES AND OWNERS BRING THEIR DOGS AND ONE OF THEM LOOKS LIKE THIS DOG. AND YOU KNOW, TRAIN. SHE’D BE A GREAT KIND OF A GREAT GYM DOG. ALL RIGHT, NEXT. WE’VE NEVER HAD WE’VE NEVER HAD A GYM DOG BEFORE. RIGHT. SHE WOULD BE A GOOD GYM DOG. WHO’S THIS LITTLE BABY, THIS LITTLE SWEETNESS. SO I PEOPLE THAT PEOPLE THAT KNOW ME KNOW I LOVE MY BRINDLE. I LOVE MY BRINDLE, I DO, I LOVE MY BRINDLE GIRLS. SO SHE’S A FEW MONTHS OLD. SHE’S GOING TO GET TO BE A LITTLE BIT BIGGER. AND, YOU KNOW, LIKE THEY SAY, JUST DON’T GO ON TV WITH PUPPIES. I LIKE TO GO ON TV IS I LOVE MONKEY. SHE’S A LOVE MONKEY IS WHAT SHE IS. SHE IS SHE’S FAMILY. WOULD SHE BE GOOD WITH. SO SHE’S GOING TO NEED BECAUSE SHE’S A PUPPY. LOTS OF PATIENCE, LOTS OF TRAINING, LOTS OF CONSISTENCY. SO SOMEONE THAT HAS THE TIME ONCE SHE’S TRAINED, SHE’S GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL, GREAT FAMILY DOG. BUT SO OFTEN PEOPLE GET PUPPIES AND DON’T REALIZE, YOU KNOW, THEY’RE KIND OF LIKE BABIES. THEY, YOU KNOW, THEY SLEEP A LOT. BUT WHEN THEY’RE AWAKE FOR THAT 30 MINUTES, THEY ARE AWAKE. AND SO, YEAH, SO BUT SHE’LL BE EASY TO HOUSE, TRAIN AND BUT A GOOD FAMILY DOG AGAIN SHE’S A BIGGER DOG WOULD LIKE PROBABLY MORE ACTIVITY YOU KNOW OUTDOOR PLAYS YOU KNOW THINGS LIKE THAT. TAKING TO THE PARK. BUT SHE’LL BE A GOOD FETCH AND RETURN. YES. YOU WILL FAWN. YES YOU WILL. ALL RIGHT, STEVE, THIS IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO DO. THEN WE’RE CLOSING OUT. For 10 years, NBC has partnered with local stations and animal shelters to feature pets in need of forever homes. Right now, in Central Florida, the need for loving pet homes and fosters is reaching an all-time high. For 2024, WESH 2 is featuring adoptable pets at 12 Central Florida animal shelters and rescues. Each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through to Sept. 6, WESH 2 will broadcast live at a “Shelter of the Day.” We’ll show you the need in that community, showcase the loving dogs, cats and other animals available for adoption, and tell you how you can add one of these special pets to your family.
