Not Many People Know About The Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary Right Here In Vermont
Are you an animal lover? Then this might be the place for you. This 440-acre farm estate is home to a number of adorable, rescued farm animals that will steal your heart in no time. Tours are offered and you can even spend the night at the historic estate’s inn. If you haven’t been to The Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary in East Burke, then you’ll want to add it to your bucket list.
Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2003 by Dr. John Pastore, Inn owner, animal lover, and Boston cardiologist.
Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit corporation that is dedicated to providing farm animals with the comfort and care they need along with educating people on the appropriate care and treatment of animals.
There are four goats on the farm named Lily, Luke, Leesil, and Julie.
They all eat a healthy and well-regulated diet of hay and grain but sometimes prefer white bread as a special treat.
The farm also has a number of horses including a few miniature horses.
There’s also cattle and goats as well!
To get up, close and personal with the sweet animals, tours of the Sanctuary are offered by appointment only.
Following the tour, visitors are encouraged to continue to walk the farm grounds and visit with the animals.
If you’re traveling from afar, you can spend the night at the Inn at Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary.
The 14-room inn and restaurant is owned by sanctuary founder Dr. John Pastore and his wife, Marilyn and shares the same 440-acre historic farm estate as the sanctuary.
All of their rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable and the perfect place to rest after a day with the animals.
If you want to spend even more time with the animals, you can get involved as a volunteer!
As a non-profit, Mountain View Farm Animal Sanctuary is always looking for some extra help. Whether you want to donate your time as a volunteer or supplies such as blankets, food items, and grooming supplies, a little help can go a long way.
